In addition to mold making and casting of urethane plastics, I now have the capability to cast low temp melting metals, such as lead, pewter, and zinc alloys. In the fall of 2011, I built a custom Centrifugal Spin Casting Machine modeled after the best front loading machines on the market made byTekcast. This machine is suited to reproducing existing parts, prototype parts and low to medium volume production parts.
With this new capability, I can now economically offer highly detailed metal parts, in volumes ranging from a few pieces for prototyping, to thousands of parts.
This Willy’s Jeep Emblem was cast in Pewter on this machine. I can also cast in Zinc Alloys, which are very strong and durable and can be made into anything from Jewelry, to hard to find Classic Auto Parts, to Scale Model Train Parts and Accessories. These alloys can be Plated, Powder Coated, E Coated or Painted, to make them even stronger or impart a wide variety of looks, textures and finishes.
I can even cast some very durable thermosetting plastics in large numbers now, that have comparable properties to some engineering grade plastics.
